Austin Home Search | Austin MLS Listings

I Love Searching Austin Real Estate by Google Maps

...and I'm an Austin Realtor with full access to the Austin MLS! The above Austin Home Search featuring Google Maps is the most powerful tool I have seen (to-date) for searching available real estate in Central Texas. With the help of our partners at Diverse Solutions, Austin Referral Realty is able to offer our site visitors (err, prospective clients) interactive home searches with intuitive functionality, display of all MLS listing information allowed (1). However, as with most cutting-edge technologies and innovative software, there are bugs that need to be fixed. Google software is no different.

Known Issue with Google Maps GEO Locations: Some property listings may show up in the wrong location. This happens most frequently to new homes that have yet to be mapped. When you run across a misplaced property address, it will look as if Google took a wild guess.

5,000 Square Foot Home on 3 Acres for $300k!

If you see a home listing matching the description above mapped on Lake Austin, please don't get excited (2). Common Sense Prevails: If it's too good to be true.... it may be mapped wrong. Feel free to call our office at (512) 892-0708 if you need to confirm a property location. You can also try Microsoft Live Search Maps or MapQuest to double check a listing's location.

(1) - certain MLS data is prohibited from being displayed per the National Association of Realtors IDX Policy (see IDX below) including seller's contact information, property showing instructions, commission data, real estate agency data, expiration dates. The following MLS listing statuses are also prohibited: Expired, Withdrawn, Pending, and Temporarily Off Market.
(2) - The market value for a 5,000 square foot Lake Austin waterfront home on 3 acres is in the millions. However, don't get your hopes down. You can still rent a similar home for about $200k/year. You only live once!
